I headed down to the #BornFashion event on Thursday evening with my friend and fellow blogger Seána Curley from Innocent Illusion Makeup Artistry at the main Newtownsmith store in Galway. The two of us decided to go down as a last minute decision to check out the launch of the Young Fashions Department and pick up some lovely Prosecco while shopping till we dropped!
We spent ages looking around the shop which looks fantastic and drank some Prosecco with strawberries in. Seána picked up an amazing black jumper for only €10 thanks to the student discounts on the night and I browsed around, wishing I had money! We both took a good few photos to enter the Instagram competition to win a €100 Born voucher. After walking round the store, we went home, sufficiently shopped out. We also got a 15% off voucher for the Beauty Lounge in Galway, which I can’t wait to use getting my eyebrows done!
Next day I got some fantastic news that I had won the #Bornfashions Instagram competition, Born Clothing had picked my picture as the best on the night! Yay! So I went down to the store today and picked out what I wanted with my voucher. I was so intent on buying a blue dress but of course, it didn’t work out and I ended up buying black (as usual!) and my new favourite colour – burgundy! I’ve been adding so much burgundy to my wardrobe lately, it’s such a fantastic warm winter colour! So with my voucher I got new leather leggings (much needed!), burgundy high-waisted jeans (such a comfortable fit, I love them!) and a black and burgundy bodycon dress! I still have almost 20 left on the card so I definitely have my name on a coloured blazer – a wardrobe essential I currently don’t have!
While we were out, I popped into Brown Thomas (loving their Christmas windows!) and got my MAC Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation in NC15 – something I cannot live without. I’ve run out and feel naked without it for work. The great thing about MAC is that – like Benefit – it seems to last forever! I’m pretty sure my one has lasted me since last Christmas! Speaking of Benefit, is anyone else as gutted as I am about the Advent Calendar?! It’s terrible when people are ready to fork out so much money and get let down so badly! I certainly wasn’t impressed! Hoping to get my hands on one and if not, I might be investing in the Ciate Advent Calendar instead!
I hope everyone is enjoying this very cold and crisp November (totally time for the faux fur, right?!) and getting the start on that Christmas shopping! I’m off to enjoy my Saturday night relaxing – I’ve been so busy with work and Intrigue.ie that I haven’t had time to think! However, I’ve a list of blog topics I want to share with you, so expect some more posts in the near future!
Until next time,
